EWI's Annual Golf Tournament will be held on Friday, August 27, 2021 at the beautiful Hawaii Prince Golf Club.
WHERE DOES YOUR MONEY GO?
EWI of Honolulu is strongly supported by many large and small businesses throughout our state. We are committed and passionate about what we do and especially about our scholarship programs. The Ways & Means Committee plans the fundraising efforts for the scholarships and perpetuation of Honolulu Chapter activities.
- Executive Women International® Scholarship Program (EWISP) provides scholarship funds to seniors in high school. These remarkable students are recommended by their school's counselor to compete for this award. Only one applicant per school is allowed to be submitted. He/she prepares an intensive autobiography notebook to be used in the selection process. The senior receives valuable experiences as he/she sits before a panel of judges who are prominent business and/or educational pillars in the community. Our first place winner competes internationally for $5,000.
- Adult Students in Scholastic Transition (ASIST) truly adds worth to our organization. Individuals, who have been tested in life but have found a way to better themselves and their family through education, vie for scholarship dollars. This program is based on the financial need of the applicants many of whom are single mothers with no or very little income. Every year, our panel of judges is touched by these individuals. And many times, these judges have made a contribution. When you hear their stories, you want to do more.
- Philanthropy Projects include the corporate philanthropy focus on literacy. The Honolulu Chapter participates in the Reading Rally and other literacy activities.
We thank you for past contributions and hope you consider joining us again this year at our golf tournament. Only with your help, can we continue to be effective in giving to our community and improving lives.
